According to the Boston Herald, running back Shane Vereen was the New England Patriots starter during OTA’s. Right now we don’t know if this means he’ll be the number one back going forward, but it is a sign that the Patriots have some confidence in him.
With the departure of Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis I’d expect the starting job to come down to Vereen and Stevan Ridley since they know the Patriots offense the best.

Though they signed veteran running back Joseph Addai, ESPN Boston’s Mike Reiss believes that 2nd year players Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen will get the “bulk of the carries” for the Patriots this year. This would make the most sense, but Bill Belichick is often unpredictable with his running backs and tends to go with experience over anything, which Addai represents. As it...
The Pats wideout announced that he will raffle off his custom Lamborghini Murcielago in a Twitter giveaway. A portion of the proceeds will go to the charity Feed The Children.
In 15 games during the 2011 NFL regular season New England Patriots WR Chad Ochocinco was uncharacteristically out of sync. With career lows in receptions (15), yards (276) and touchdowns (1), reports surfaced that Ochocinco was struggling and couldn’t stay on the field because he didn’t know the playbook. Which of these AFC quarterbacks will lead their team to Super Bowl XLVII?
Seeing as how we are now closing in on the month of June and most teams are currently conducting or have already conducted their offseason OTAs, what better time than to stick my neck out and make some (very, very) early pre-season predictions?
Since rosters are still at their pre-season maximums...

The 2012 season is right around the corner and as NFL teams go through their organized team activities, it is a great time to analyze each roster. Thus, after the final breakdown of each team’s 90-man roster, FantasyPPR.com, will provide a 53-man roster projection for all...

The upset Patriots fan expressed displeasure about Welker's Super Bowl drop, asking the receiver why he wasn't able to haul in the fourth-quarter pass. The grammar in the letter isn't perfect, but Colombo gets his...

The New England Patriots have signed former Indianapolis Colts guard/center Jamey Richard.
Earlier in the week, Richard and two other offensive linemen, tackles Stephon Heyer and Brandon Keith, worked out for the Patriots.
Richard, 27 years old, was a seventh-round draft pick by Indianapolis in 2008. He played in 48 games in his four seasons with the Colts, including 11 startes...
Before you can run, you must learn how to walk. Welcome to the New England Patriots off-season training activities, where teaching is a larger element than overall execution, where coaches as well sharpen their craft.
So with that in mind, what have we been able to glean from the prior week?
Reports have Brandon Lloyd looking very comfortable in the offense and very fluid, with...
