TweetNew York Giants Center Shaun O'Hara
made his retirement official yesterday.
While the Pro Bowl Center retires from playing the game he is not leaving the National Football League, O'Hara will be joining the NFL Network.
An underrated athlete who worked hard and became a respected lineman around the league held back his emotions while making his announcement yesterday. Shaun considered coming back and as reported by ESPN there were some teams interested in his services including the Miami Dolphins.
During his announcement O'Hara said:
I've been dreading this day my entire career. Admitting to myself, as well as publicly, that my body can no longer keep up with the demands of being a professional athlete. I wasn’t the most gifted athlete, but I learned early on in my life that perseverance is more valuable than talent. I can honestly say that I squeezed every ounce of ability out of my body and I have no regrets.
A classy player who will be missed, despite not playing since 2010 he has always been a part of the New York Giants family. Big Blue fans thank Shaun O'Hara
for his hard work and wish him nothing but the best in his next career with the NFL Network.
