New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees is one of the NFL signal callers on pace for a record setting season. Brees is averaging 359 yards per game through the air and is on pace for nearly 5800 passing yards this season, but are his interceptions now becoming a reason for concern for the New Orleans Saints?
In arguably Brees’ best back-to-back seasons, 2008-2009, he threw 28 interceptions in 31 games. In the Saints Super Bowl season of 2009, Brees only tossed 11 picks. Dating back to last season, Brees now has thrown 30 interceptions in 22 games. New York Giants QB Eli Manning has the same number of interceptions in the same number of games.
The Saints quarterback started the season off strong with six touchdowns and passer ratings of 112.5 and 118.1 in the first two games of the season without throwing a pick. Brees now has eight interceptions in the last four games and is coming off a three-pick performance against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense which surrendered 48 points ...

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers out-defensed and out-offensed the New Orleans Saints by six points, with a final score of 26-20, to move themselves into a tie with the same Saints for first place in the NFC South. Turnovers were the definite difference in the game between the visiting Saints and the hosting Bucs this Sunday afternoon at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
