Really, Chicago Bears. Not all this fantastic news at once.
The more-fragile-than monsters of the midway limp into their bye week, figuratively and literally, with an uninspiring 4-3 record. Jay Cutler has a groin, Lance Briggs a shoulder and Charles Tillman just appears sore and old in general. In reality, he has a knee. But these are troubling times for our Bears, so a bit of hyperbole...
Mike Silver of the NFL Network writes that there is a “very real possibility” that the Chicago Bears could allow QB Jay Cutler to depart during free agency.
Silver spoke with a source “familiar with the Bears’ situation” who believe Bears HC Marc Trestman may “not place as much of a premium on arm strength as some of his peers.“
“Think about it — he had his...
The Chicago Bears will be without starting QB Jay Cutler until Week 12 at best, as he tore his groin muscle on Sunday. Cutler was having one of his better season with a 91.7 QB rating, the highest of his career. This will leave Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery owners a little depressed, but Matt Forte rushed for 2 touchdowns after Cutler left in a shootout with the Washington Redskins...
Bears quarterback Jay Cutler will miss at least the next four weeks with a slight tear in his groin. Team also confirms Lance Briggs will miss around six weeks.

The Chicago Bears, who are near the top of the NFC North minus the tie-breaker loss to the Detroit Lions, lost more than the game Sunday against the Washington Redskins, they lost two leaders. Quarterback Jay Cutler tore his groin muscle on a sack play and will miss a minimum of four weeks where as linebacker Lance Briggs will be out for about six weeks with a fractured shoulder...
CHICAGO– Insult to injury, was the story of the day for the Chicago Bears who lost to the Washington Redskins on Sunday. The Bears have announced that both starting quarterback Jay Cutler and linebacker Lince Briggs, both of whom are team captains, are out for multiple weeks. Cutler, who is in the final year of […]
According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler will be out at least four weeks after suffering a torn groin muscle.
You could tell by the way Cutler was walking after he was injured that it was pretty serious.

Sunday after Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo intercepted Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and scored a touchdown the Redskins broadcast team (on ESPN 980) broke out with the team’s fight song. The idea was Chris Cooley’s but Larry Michael, Sonny Jurgensen and Doc Walker all chimed in. (audio courtesy of DCSportsBog)
The Chicago Bears lost a tough one Sunday to the Washington Redskins and Robert Griffin III (who played his most complete game of the season to date), and that was with back up Josh McCown at the helm for the majority of the game.
As it turns out it looks like McCown is going to be at the helm for the next four weeks.
Cutler was knocked out...
Week 7 had some notable injuries as fantasy football stars such as Reggie Wayne, Jermichael Finley, Jay Cutler, Doug Martin and Arian Foster all went down with injury. These injuries could hurt or help your fantasy team but if you have these players here is some advice.

Chiefs’ Tamba Hali Leaves a Fatty Tip
Week seven is over and the Old Man feels like he’s the subject of a country music song. The Bears lost, my picks were mostly off, and my fantasy team is in shambles. I have both Jay Cutler and Sam Bradford at QB, and my RB Trent Richardson has turned the phrase “3 yards and a cloud of dust” into “3 yards and I’m on the ground or I’ll fumble.” But you know what happens...
