  • What good is arm strength when you have no accuracy and no respect from most of the fans and most of the team.Cocky(why?) and not a team player. Bears fan since I was 2(44yrs) but if they sign this overrated clown I am done.Does nobody else see all the excuses and now all new coaches and he still sucks. What is the excuse the next time he does not (GETTER DONE).
  • Definitely resign Jay. This is the first year with an oline and a real offensive minded coach. He has been able to keep some winning seasons with no wide outs, and no oilne. Briggs has gotten hurt and didn't want to play for money reasons, also the bears d kinda sucks a whole lot and hasn't been that good for a while. Cutler probably holds most of the bears passing records in a short amount of time, it's a different league and we need a big arm and a qb that's no scared
  • Absolutely not! Cutler is no different than Grossman -- we don't know which one will show up to play. Plus he's a baby and way overrated. I'm so happy he's out for 4-6 weeks! Hopefully McCown will play just as well as he did last week and they will see no need to re-sign Cutler. Send his ass packing somewhere else. Now if only we could get a defense worth a nickel...

Bears’ bye week conundrum

Really, Chicago Bears. Not all this fantastic news at once. The more-fragile-than monsters of the midway limp into their bye week, figuratively and literally, with an uninspiring 4-3 record. Jay Cutler has a groin, Lance Briggs a shoulder and Charles Tillman just appears sore and old in general. In reality, he has a knee. But these are troubling times for our Bears, so a bit of hyperbole...

“Very Real Possibility” The Bears Move On Without Jay Cutler Next Season

Mike Silver of the NFL Network writes that there is a “very real possibility” that the Chicago Bears could allow QB Jay Cutler to depart during free agency. Silver spoke with a source “familiar with the Bears’ situation” who believe Bears HC Marc Trestman may “not place as much of a premium on arm strength as some of his peers.“ “Think about it — he had his...

Jay Cutler Out 4 Weeks - Torn Groin

The Chicago Bears will be without starting QB Jay Cutler until Week 12 at best, as he tore his groin muscle on Sunday.  Cutler was having one of his better season with a 91.7 QB rating, the highest of his career.  This will leave Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery owners a little depressed, but Matt Forte rushed for 2 touchdowns after Cutler left in a shootout with the Washington Redskins...

Bears to Lose Jay Cutler for the Next Month

The Chicago Bears lost a tough one Sunday to the Washington Redskins and Robert Griffin III (who played his most complete game of the season to date), and that was with back up Josh McCown at the helm for the majority of the game. As it turns out it looks like McCown is going to be at the  helm for the next four weeks. @SBNationGIF/Twitter Cutler was knocked out...

The Old Man’s Picks – Week Eight

Week seven is over and the Old Man feels like he’s the subject of a country music song. The Bears lost, my picks were mostly off, and my fantasy team is in shambles. I have both Jay Cutler and Sam Bradford at QB, and my RB Trent Richardson has turned the phrase “3 yards and a cloud of dust” into “3 yards and I’m on the ground or I’ll fumble.” But you know what happens...
