PLAYERS: Plaxico Burress
TEAMS: New York Jets
The Chicago Bears have made some tremendous upgrades at the WR position this offseason with the additions of Brandon Marshall and rookie Alshon Jefferey.  When combined with returning receivers Earl Bennett, Johnny Knox and Devin Hester the Bears have a formidable receiving corps that should allow them to keep pace in the pass happy NFC North.   But
  • yes!, the bears need some one any one who can make plays. the old bears of lets hold them to 7 points and we score 3 just does not get it
  • also hester needs to be in every play as he will change the defence real quick
  • Hell no

Awesome Aaron Maybin 2011 Season Highlight Reel (HD)

Aaron Maybin certainly was a pleasant surprise for the Jets in the 2011 season and he’s back with the team for the 2012 season. Maybin has his limitations as a defensive end and pass rusher, but he also has incredible speed and quickness that make him a fun player to watch. Speaking of watching Aaron Maybin, here is an AWESOME 2011 Season Highlight Reel of Maybin put together by...

Tim Tebow to be subject of E! special

According to a spokesperson from the E!, the network will air a half-hour special devotedly solely to the New York Jets quarterback sometime in July.

Browns not interested in Plaxico Burress, yet

On Friday, Cleveland Browns head coach pat Shurmur stated that they’re currently not interested in signing free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress.  At least not yet. “We haven’t talked about Plax right now,” said Shurmur. Of course at any moment the Browns could start to pursue Burress, but right now we’re just speculating.  They clearly need a number one receiver and...

Jets QB coach: Sanchez had ‘poor decision-making’

There's no question that Mark Sanchez, entering what amounts to a make-or-break fourth season, has the weight on the world on his shoulders. Now, thanks to an unlikely source, it's gotten that much heavier. Pontificating on the past, Jets quarterbacks coach Matt Cavanaugh told the New York Daily News that Sanchez displayed "poor decision-making" last season...

Even Mark Sanchez’s QB coach thinks he stinks

We like to pick on New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez, and it is because we don’t think of him as a very good quarterback, showing flashes of nothing. Ya see, Sanchez’s early success was predicated on one of the best running games in football and one of the best defenses, as well. Actually, I [...]

Tim Tebow says he’s improved as a passer

New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow claims that he’s improved as a passer this offseason, which may not be a good thing for current starter Mark Sanchez. “I’ve been working pretty hard at doing that,” said Tebow, per “I feel like I had a good offseason before I got here, and being here and working with Coach Sparano and working with Mark [Sanchez] and working...

Tim Tebow will be on a special for E! this summer

"I don't know why I'm famous!" In what appears to be a never ending quest for the public to learn everything there is about Tebow that has nothing to do with football, E! has announced that they will be airing a 30-minute special with him as the main focus. Unfortunately they won't be asking him questions about why he can't throw a spiral but focus...

Jets say no to Hard Knocks

Although their offseason alone would most likely produce more drama than OJ’s famed high-speed chase, the New York Jets have reportedly declined to appear in HBO’s Hard Knocks for 2012. For weeks it was speculated that Gang Green may indeed film a sequel to their rousing first encounter with the Hard Knocks’ spotlight two years ago after owner Woody Johnson publicly expressed...

Criminally underexposed Tim Tebow finally getting his own special on E!

Jets backup quarterback and man-about-town Tim Tebow will be the subject of a special to air on E! Entertainment Television later this summer.  Because if there’s one athlete the public needs to find out more intimate details about, should any exist, it’s Tebow (Ed. note: sarcasm is fun!). Scant details are available as to what the 30-minute show will be about, but I can’t...

Plaxico Burress thinks Carson Palmer has one of the best deep balls in the league

Plaxico Burress is a tough receiver to defend. He's a big guy with that can play the ball well in the air, and he has solid hands, yet he still hasn't been signed. That won't stop him from trying to get the attention of teams around the league. His latest effort came in the form of paying Oakland Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer a major compliment, telling SiriusXM NFL...

Lonely Island

Darrelle Revis is arguably the best cornerback in the NFL and has been an integral part of the Jets success the past few seasons. Questions are mounting regarding Revis' current deal and long-term future outlook with Gang Green.

Can the Jets have two Leaders at the same position? Sanchez and Tebow?

Darrelle Revis was asked about whether you can have two leaders at one position, or more specifically two leaders at the QB position, on one team, and he replied with an honestly noncommittal answer. His answer made me truly wonder if it was possible to have two QB’s of the team be viewed as by their teammates as leaders. “That’s a tough question,” Revis said. “I don’t...

Santonio Holmes and Wayne Hunter have a clean slate

New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes and right tackle Wayne Hunter didn't have great seasons in 2011. It all blew up during the season finale against the Miami Dolphins, with Hunter and Holmes jawing at each other in the huddle. Holmes and Hunter have since moved on and have given each other a clean slate to work with. Plenty of New York Jets players could benefit from...
