We already know the Denver Broncos got ousted out of the 2012 playoffs in horrific fashion. We already know Peyton Manning is now one year closer to retirement. We already know there are still significant issues on this Broncos team on both sides of the ball. However, do the Broncos go into 2013 with aggressive offseason moves to get them back to the Divisional Playoff round? Aggressive offseason moves as in moving up in the 2013 draft to draft specific players that will make an impact? Focusing on a weakness on the roster immediately, in the next 2-3 seasons, or pursue the most talented free agents with contract offers that will out compete the market for their services, or trade for players on other teams that will cost a risky amount of draft picks in the future?… Read more

  • Yes, I think they should be aggressive in the off season. One thing they should get rid of the Fox. If Elway thinks taking a knee with 31 sec and two timeouts in a tied game for the win, then he should go too.

Broncos must re-sign Brandon Stokley

After last year’s short and very unproductive season with the New York Giants, Brandon Stokley seemed to be headed for retirement. He only played two games and had a single reception for seven yards. Conversely, after reuniting with Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, Stokley experienced a resurrection style season in 2012 putting up his best numbers since 2007, but those numbers...

Practicing players: Pro Bowl will be more serious

HONOLULU (AP) -- The NFC team ended its first Pro Bowl practice by breaking the huddle and shouting, "Win." One night earlier, Denver quarterback Peyton Manning asked his fellow all-stars to play the game hard. And players on both sides pledged Wednesday to play more determined in a game with a reputation of being taken less seriously than preseason exhibitions or meaningless...

Peyton Manning Says To Play Hard, So You Better Watch… Intently.

Photo by Nick Cafarelli via Busted Coverage So you think you can just get a free trip to Hawaii and not have to do any work? Is that what I’m hearing out of my fellow AFC teammates?  Well, I don’t think so, not on my watch. /Leaves for three hours to go film a Papa Johns ad. Good, you’re all still here waiting for me. Sign of a good work ethic. You’re committed to me and...

Foster: Pro Bowlers won't give all

Houston running back Arian Foster says players are going to step up at the Pro Bowl this year, but don't expect 100 percent effort. Foster said Friday after practicing with his AFC teammates that it's unrealistic to expect full effort from the NFL's top athletes when they're limited in the plays they're able to run. Effort has emerged as the top theme for this...

Always Be Covering: Super Bowl Props and Top Chef

Welcome to hell week! No actual football, just a lot of people talking about football. Oh, and the Pro Bowl. That’s this week too. Peyton Manning is urging everyone to play hard so that Principal Goodell doesn’t cancel recess next year. It’s a joke, of course. The NFL would NEVER deprive themselves of an opportunity to make money. People watch the Pro Bowl for some unknowable...

Players, coaches hope to save the Pro Bowl; how they can do it

This year's Pro Bowl will be the most influential all-star event in recent history. Virtually every pro series in the United States incorporates an all-star event into their schedule, but the NFL's is unique in that it comes at the end of the season. It's always been an afterthought, but if nothing changes this year, it's possible it'll be gone forever. The...

AFC-NFC Preview

Adrian Peterson signed and tossed miniature footballs into the Aloha Stadium stands, then chatted up Hall of Famers Eric Dickerson and Marcus Allen. Arian Foster played Peyton Manning's bodyguard for stadium cameras and told fans he recently walked on hot lava. The Pro Bowl players practiced a little, too, on a sunny Saturday in Honolulu one day before an all-star game that...
