New Carolina Panthers GM Dave Gettleman went straight to work on his first day Monday, interviewing both former Browns head coach Pat Shurmur and Bengals assistant coach Hue Jackson, according to the Charlotte Observer. With Rob Chudzinski already in the fold as head coach, Gettleman was hired last week and is scheduled to be introduced on Tuesday. Shurmur will reportedly be asked if he's willing to scrap his west coast offense as it isn't a good fit with their personnel. The report also says they're considering Ken Whisenhunt for the position. Whisenhunt's name is also in the hat for a heach coaching job elsewhere, but they'll still like to get him in for an inetrview. Current quarterbacks coach Mike Shula is also an option. var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
