Found October 30, 2011 on Cleveland Sports 360:
Pat Shurmur takes his 25th ranked offense to San Francisco today with hopes of securing the fourth win for the Cleveland Browns.  McCoy hasn’t been able to get the Browns on the board early in any game they played this season thus far. Fro Colt, it could be a very long day. The team was able to control the game last week with the running game. McCoy and Shurmur may be faced with that task again today. McCoy’s favorite receiver Mohamed Massaquoi will not be playing today due to a head injury. The Browns are going to need someone to step up and make some plays. This San Francisco team has been hot this year and this could be one of the toughest tests the Browns have faced this season so far.Lets not forget the fact the Browns won to tough games last year beating New Orleans and New England. If there was going to be a week Shurmur’s Browns offense was going to come alive this week needs to be it.  McCoy is going to have to get this football into the end zone this week plain and simple ...

Are Pat Shurmur’s Browns Taking On His Personality?

The Cleveland Browns hired Pat Shurmur to be the new head coach this season. The problem is the Browns have no explosiveness on the offense this year. Is this Pat Shurmur’s personality? Shurmur never seems to get excited during a game, a press conference or when he is defending any of his teams actions. Can this Browns offense resemble the head coach any more? The Browns have yet...

Browns Coach Pat Shurmur keeps stressing, ‘Every game is going to be close,’

The Cleveland Browns haven’t been close to the End zone often this year Pat Shurmur, what games are you watching?  When coach Shurmur says every game is going to be close it almost makes me laugh. Sure the Cleveland Browns only lost by 10 points yesterday is that close coach Shurmur? I remember the day when a team lost by one point or so and they would call that a close game....

Cleveland Browns A.M. Links: Coach Pat Shurmur doesn't pass the eye test; Montario Hardesty is out; are the Houston Texans playing dirty?

The Cleveland Browns are 3-4, just like the 2001 New England Patriots that won the Super Bowl.

Browns' Shurmur praises 49ers' 'non-tight-end types'

Alex Smith said left Joe Staley's first-down signal following his 17-yard reception Sunday was "a little prima-donna-ish for a lineman." And Staley's head only figures to swell further after hearing Browns coach Pat Shurmur praise his pass-catching form. Shurmur was asked about the difficulty of...

Time For Some Browns Fan and Media Self-Reflection

I am left wondering a great many things after the Browns game yesterday.  But I’m thinking maybe I don’t have as much wonderment about the Browns as about some of the fans and critics in the media.  I don’t know what a lot of them were expecting from this team going into San Francisco as ten point underdogs.  More importantly, I can’t figure out what anyone gets out of...

Week 8: The Browns Will Win If…

The Browns are 3-3. How is that possible? After a game against Seattle that set offensive football (and I do mean offensive! [rim shot]) back 40 years, the Browns will find their task much tougher this week as they travel to the left coast to play the red hot 49ers. Maybe Jim Harbaugh will cause Pat Shurmur to finally snap and go Jim Schwartz stark raving mad afterward. The Browns’...

Browns Fan Chat: Talk about loss to 49ers

The Browns' offense struggled once again in a 20-10 loss at San Francisco on Sunday. How concerned are you about Colt McCoy's performance so far this season? What did you think of Pat Shurmur's play calling against the 49ers? Do the Browns have a shot next week at Houston?

According to Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer,  Cleveland Browns running back Montario Hardesty “will miss games” with a partially torn calf muscle,  said head coach Pat Shurmur.
