Found January 27, 2012 on The Penalty Flag:
Whether he plays another down in the NFL or not, Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts is without a doubt a first ballot Hall of Famer.  His impressive 399 touchdowns, 54,828 passing yards, four league MVP’s and 94.9 career passer rating makes him a shoe in.  Given those stats it would be absurd to come out and say that the younger of the Manning brothers, Eli, is better than Peyton, right?  After all, in what amounts to seven and a half seasons Eli has accumulated 185 touchdowns, 27,579 passing yards, no league MVP awards, and a career passer rating of 82.1.  On Eli’s current pace he will not catch Peyton by his 14th season so hands down, Peyton is better right? Well not so fast.  Keeping the aforementioned stats in mind, ask this question.  Would you rather have a superior regular season quarterback who shatters records and stockpiles individual accolades or a pretty good quarterback who is clutch in the postseason and seems to get better under pressure?  Here are 10 reasons Eli is better than Peyton. 10.  Most passing yards in a season -  Believe it or not, this one goes to Eli.  This season Eli passed for 4933 yards with [...]

Manning changed it all

Christopher Meece writes that Manning's departure marks the first real test of the fanbase: Peyton Manning turned Indianapolis into a football town. If you are a 20-year-old Colts fan, all you really know is Peyton Manning, and winning. If you are a 40-year-old Colts fan, chances are you rooted for a different team at one point in your life. Regardless, Manning won the city...

Peyton Manning Deserves Better

Lucas Oil Stadium has been called "The House that Peyton Built." It has been suggested by many that, were it not for the success of the Peyton Manning-led Colts, the franchise would have been relocated to Los Angeles years ago. Peyton Manning is universally accepted as one of the best players in NFL history, and is - without a doubt - the greatest player in the Indianapolis...

Eli Manning over Tom Brady? It’s already happened once on the field this season, and that’s also what a survey of married women is now saying, according to The dating site for philanderers conducted a poll asking some perhaps not-so-happily married women who they’d prefer to have an affair with out the two starting quarterbacks in this year’s Super Bowl...

Peyton Manning’s revealing interview with Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star wasn’t the only conversation he had with the media on Monday evening. It's a long shot. I want to make that clear before we even broach the subject of the Seattle Seahawks and Peyton Manning. First of all, he may not be available. And second, if he were to become available, there will be a line of teams interested in his services. Now, with those qualifiers out of the way, let's get into what just might become the most compelling question of...
