Free Agent running back Steve Slaton will receive another work out for employment this coming week.

He will work out for the Detroit Lions in the coming days. Slaton was released by the Miami Dolphins in their final cuts.

He worked out for the Chicago Bears late this week, but the team did not sign him. The Washington Redskins also has shown interest in Slaton.

Should be sign with the Lions, he would just be an insurance policy for Kevin Smith. It would likely be just a one week game check if they sign him.

Mikel Leshoure is able to return from suspension in Week 3.
