The Ravens are now down another cornerback, which is perhaps the reason they have signed Chris Johnson. Second-year cornerback Jimmy Smith has undergone sports hernia surgery, according to reports, and will definitely miss Sunday’s showdown with the Steelers.
Smith is expected to miss several weeks and the team hopes he will be back by season’s end. The Ravens were already without cornerback Lardarius Webb who tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) earlier this season.
Now on to the injury report.
For the Steelers:
Did not participate: WR Antonio Brown (ankle), OT Marcus Gilbert (ankle), S Troy Polamalu (calf) and QB Ben Roethlisberger (right shoulder)
Full participation: CB Curtis Brown (quad), S Ryan Clark (concussion), DE Brett Keisel (shoulder), RB Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles), OT Max Starks (ankle), LB Stevenson Sylvester (hamstring) and CB Ike Taylor (illness)

It took until Friday, but now it really does feel like Steelers-Ravens week after Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith took to Twitter Friday afternoon to tweet a few lyrics from the song Renegade. They’re still allowing 40 more yards per game than they gain and have only won 2 games by more than 10 points despite...

Baltimore Ravens (7-2) at Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3)
Ben Roethlisberger is out for this one. How can the Steelers possibly beat the 7-2 Ravens? That’s the question that everyone seems to be asking this week and apparently no one can come up with an answer as the public is pounding Baltimore as road favorites here. However, as is often the case with the public on heavy leans, I think...
