PLAYERS: David Nelson
TEAMS: Cleveland Browns
Jacksonville-jaguars
Remember the old saying, “You can’t judge a Book by its cover?” This is exactly the case, when it comes to making a comparison, between David Nelson, the newly acquired Browns receiver and A.J. Green in Cincinnati. The only thing, the two men have in common is size. Sure both men are tall, Nelson stand 6’5″ tall and weighs 217- lbs. Green stands, 6’4″ and weighs 211-lbs. The similarities stop there.  David Nelson, is a possession receiver. He caught, 61 passes in Buffalo, during the 2011 season, and only had 658 yards, for an average of, 10.8 yards per catch. Don’t get me wrong, that is a good average, he is no A.J. green. During the 2011 NFL season, Green caught 65 passes. he had 1,057 yards receiving that year and his average catch was, 16.3 yards. there is a huge difference between a guy like A.J. green and David Nelson. If Nelson can play at the same level, he performed at in 2011 for the browns this season, he will be worth what ever the team gave him.  If he can average over 1...

As the highest-paid player on the Browns, is Joe Thomas’ value diminishing?

Joe Thomas is the poster boy. Sure, he is the stalwart left tackle who has yet to miss a game since being drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2007. He has has been named to the NFL’s All-Pro team five times and has made six trips to the Pro Bowl.
