The Juicy Online:
Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu received a call Thursday night, during the NFL Draft, as a unknown prank caller claimed they were from the Cincinnati Bengals, as the Bengals were about to draft him, according to Sports Illustrated
Sadly, the Bengals hadn't called Sanu.
The caller claimed that Sanu should get himself ready, as the Bengals would draft him as the 27th overall pick in the draft. Sanu and his agent celebrated the fake news, as they even Tweeted the news. It wasn't until Cincinnati made their actual selection -- which wasn't Sanu -- on TV they'd realized they had been pranked.

Positive or negative, there is sure to be plenty of reaction about the statement made by the Bengals’ war room on Day 2 of the 2012 draft. It is a statement we might expect to hear from a head coach that came up as a Defensive Coordinator: “You are not going to run on us!”
In a division featuring Ray Rice — who has gashed the Bengals several times — and now Trent Richardson...
A judge has dismissed an assault charge against Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga (mow-uh-LOO'-guh) after learning the dispute was settled in mediation.
Maualuga was charged with misdemeanor assault after an employee at a downtown bar told police that the middle linebacker punched him in the face on Feb. 5. The case was referred to mediation.
Maualuga appeared briefly...
I haven’t loved every pick made by the Cincinnati Bengals, but the class as a whole is a phenomenal haul for one of the up-and-coming teams in the league.
Dre Kirkpatrick gives the Bengals a very deep secondary, and he should compete for a starting job. It wasn’t necessarily a glaring need, but the value made it the right choice.
Kevin Zeitler was a reach in my opinion, but he...
Rutgers wide reciever Mohamed Sanu was, in fact, selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2012 NFL Draft--just not in the round he originally thought he was. Sanu got a phone call from a random number with a New Jersey area code Thursday night from a man saying he was with the Bengals organization. He then went on to tell Sanu that the team had taken him with the 27th overall pick...
CINCINNATI (AP) -- A judge dismissed an assault charge against Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga on Thursday after learning the dispute was settled in mediation.
He still faces possible punishment from the NFL under its personal conduct policy.

Getting drafted by an NFL team is a dream come true for many college football players. The draftees are often seen on TV shown with overjoyed enthusiasm when they receive the phone call verifying that the dream has become a reality. Unfortunately for Mohamed Sanu, someone decided to toy with his dream during the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night. The Rutgers wide receiver...
With the 83rd pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu. Sanu, who was the victim of a prank involving the Bengals during the first round, joins fellow Rutgers legend Brian Leonard in Cincinnati.
The Bengals were one of 5 teams to make two selections in the first round, which I think automatically puts them in the top 5 of the draft so far. (Even if the sports media largely ignores them.)
I am inclined to give the first round a “B+” grade. Like most of you, there were guys available that I thought would have made better picks. But they did address clear needs, and they...
Draft Day is finally here!
In a few hours we will finally meet the newest class of Bengals, beginning tonight with two guys we hope to see be significant contributors for years to come. But before then, let’s take one more stab at who those guys might be.
Let’s work backwards through the positions in their likelihood to be taken in the first round.
The Bengals are beefing up for a run at the AFC's really big boys.
Two of the Bengals' three picks in the NFL Draft Friday night were defensive tackles. Three of the five picks they've made through three rounds of the draft are 300-plus pound interior linemen.
In Thursday night's first round, the Bengals drafted for need. Friday night, they went big with Penn...
The Bengals got another receiver with their second pick in the fifth round, taking Marvin Jones from California.
One of their priorities in the draft was to upgrade a group of receivers that lost Jerome Simpson and Andre Caldwell to free agency. Jones will add depth to the group. He had 62 catches for 846 yards and three touchdowns last season.
The Bengals took receiver Mohamed...
Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu was the target of a hoax yesterday at the NFL Draft. Someone called the prospect claiming to be from the Cincinnati Bengals. Said caller told Sanu that they would...

Well, it may have played out differently than most could have guessed, but man, the Bengals sure did seem to have a solid draft.
After Bengals fans climbed off the ledge on Thursday (looking your direction Mr. Seuberling) and realized what the Bengals accomplished, the total pull by the Bengals looks to improve this team right away. Then, the Bengals went ahead and added to their...
Despite having to wait an extra day, Cal wide receiver Marvin Jones is excited to join the Cincinnati Bengals.
