State of the Texans:
After a full week of training camp in the books we had the chance to talk to rookie outside linebacker from Bowie State, Delano Johnson. Better known as “Lo”, Johnson at 6-4 280 lbs., looks the part of being a NFL linebacker.
Gifted with rare talents, on Saturday, Johnson deflected three passes, one on a pass rush and two while dropping in coverage. The most impressive part was the fact how high he jumped for one of the deflections. His athleticism is something watch and lucky for us we have seen how hard Johnson has been working and learning out during training camp.

This past weekend we caught up with Houston Texans starting corner back Kareem Jackson, who was anxious to return to practice with his then healing hamstring.
We talked about expectations for the 3 year starter for the Texans and how Vance Joseph and Johnathan Joseph have helped him as a player. Jackson knows it is a big season for him, and the Texans in 2012, see what he had...
The second week of training camp is under way and with majority of the team at full strength, the Houston Texans have a competitive roster out on the field right now. It has been a sight to see the work these players have put in out on the field. With majority of the team already set, there are a handful of positions that are open for the taking.
There have been plenty of bright...
We had a chance to catch up with Houston Texans starting safety Daneial Manning, and after an impressive first week of camp we touched on a few topics of camp. Manning has been a leader during camp and we asked him about his second year in Wade Phillips system, how the lockout effected him last season and his relationship with Glover Quin.

The final practice before today’s day off was another positive step forward for the Houston Texans in their continued preparation for the upcoming season. Another display of improvement kept the day interesting, particularly in team segments of practice where the offense and defense compete head to head. To this point, the competition between the two units has been fairly equal...
Houston Texans star receiver Andre Johnson, cornerback Kareem Jackson and left tackle Duane Brown have all returned to practice after sustaining minor injuries last week.
Johnson sat out last week's workouts as a precaution after a ''mild strain'' of his groin on July 29. Johnson took about 20 repetitions Monday morning and said afterward that he felt no discomfort...
Gary Kubiak and the Houston Texans aren’t throwing caution to the wind with Andre Johnson.
Johnson returned to the field on Monday eight days after suffering a groin injury in practice.
Coach Kubiak said the team will be using its star wide receiver sparingly, at least for now.
“We put a play count on him, so we’re going to do that as the week goes on,” Kubiak said, in comments...
With Day eight in the books, the Houston Texans had an upbeat practice which only turned into a morning session. For two hours the team was running well and both the offense and defense had some good moments out at the Reliant practice fields.
- According to Head Coach Gary Kubiak three starters are set to return to practice on Monday. Kareem Jackson, Duane Brown and Andre Johnson...
According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson was back on the practice field on Monday after dealing with a groin injury that’s kept him on the sideline.
As of right now, I don’t know if the Texans will have Johnson play in this week’s preseason opener. They may choose to take things slow with him to avoid any potential set backs.
