Good news for the New England Patriots, as tight end Rob Gronkowski has increased his practice workload to the normal level that prepares him for a game, according to a source familiar with how the team’s practice repetitions were divided, per Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston. That means, even if we don't see him Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, he'll be ready for the playoffs. Gronk has been out since November 18th when he broke his forearm against the Indianapolis Colts, missing five games total. He's officially listed as 'questionable' for the third straight time this week. He's been practicing since December 14th, and looks to be just about cleared to play, but the Patriots aren't making any rush decisions on his status. Head coach Bill Belichick said last week that Rob wasn't ready just yet, leaving it up to the medical staff to make that decision, and Gronkowski echoed his sentiments. "When the doctors clear me, when the training staff clears me, when I'm medically ready to play and they let me play, I'm sure that's when I'll be out there," he said Wednesday, his first comments to the media since the injury. var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
