Source: LB Williams to IR soon

    The Panthers are going to make a roster move soon, as they're expected to place LB Jamar Williams on injured reserve, according to a source with knowledge of the decision.     Williams suffered a spinal concussion against Cincinnati in Week 3. He missed the next week's game at New Orleans, but practiced on Oct. 6. He was off the field the following day, saying multiple opinions on his condition caused the team to reconsider and be more cautious.Williams said last week he felt fine and hoped to play soon, but apparently they're not going to wait for him. At the same time, he admitted his MRIs showed inflammation in his neck, which concerned the team.     "They saw a little mark, come to find out it was just inflammation, but that kind of threw smoke in the air," Williams said.
