Running back Willie Parker was among the Redskins' cuts on Saturday, according to a league source. This offseason it was clear that the Redskins were intent on upgrading the running back position when they signed proven veterans Larry Johnson and Willie Parker to compete with incumbent Clinton Portis. It was clear, however, that there might not be enough carries to keep all three running backs happy - something Parker affirmed during camp. "It's only one ball," Parker said. "So therefore, you know [there] probably cant be enough room for all of us. That's the game. That's the way it is. Therefore, you got to go out and compete. . . . There ain't even enough balls in practice." On Saturday, it was Parker who lost out in the competition among the three backs.
