Found March 16, 2012 on Fox Sports:
The St. Louis Rams appear out of the Eric Winston sweepstakes. A source told FOXSports.com that Winston won't be making his free-agent trip Friday to the Rams as originally planned. There are no plans for a rescheduled visit, the source said. Winston met Thursday and Friday with the Kansas City Chiefs but a signing isn't imminent. Winston began his tour Wednesday by meeting with the Miami Dolphins. Winston is expected to resume taking free-agent visits again soon. The Baltimore Ravens are another strong bidder for his services, a source said. Winston is the most attractive right tackle on the free-agent market after his surprising release Monday by Houston. Winston, 28, started every game the past five seasons for one of the NFL's most prolific offenses.

Chiefs win big with Winston signing

Eric Winston will be anchoring the right side of the Kansas City Chief’s offensive line for the next several years.  The Chiefs got Winston after the Houston Texans cut ties with the tackle, signing him to a 4-year deal worth $22 million.  Winston hasn’t missed a start since his arrival into the league in 2006 [...]

Why are the Rams playing it cool on Brandon Lloyd?

Brandon Lloyd was the biggest trade deadline acquisition of the 2011 NFL season, stepping in and immediately becoming the primary target of the St Louis Rams' passing game. In eleven games, Lloyd became as prolific a pass-catcher as any player since Torry Holt was patrolling the sidelines. Just six months later, though, the Rams are curiously cool toward the prospect of resigning...

Williams praises Kubiak, Texans experience

Mario Williams was honest in his summarization of his Texans experience and beyond simply complimentary in his praise for Gary Kubiak as a coach and a person. Williams also sounded relieved that the whole free agent experience is over. "It was a great run," Williams said Thursday evening from his home in North Carolina upon returning from signing his deal with the Bills...

Why would the Houston Texans trade RB Ben Tate?

A rumor surfaced yesterday that the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans were in discussions regarding a possible trade for RB Ben Tate. The Cleveland Browns are in need of a running back now that Peyton Hillis has departed via free agency and given the injury history of RB Montario Hardesty. The move would make sense for the Cleveland Browns but I feel that this would...

Rams sign Scott Wells, immediately improve protection

According to beat reporters Jim Thomas and Howard Balzer, the St Louis Rams stopped parading free agents through their hallways long enough to sign one - center Scott Wells, formerly of the Green Bay Packers. Preliminary reports of terms suggest that the deal is worth up to $25 million over four years, with about half that guaranteed. With Wells north of 30 years of age, those...

The Trials and Tribulations of Free Agency for the Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are quickly finding out how easy it is to go from the hunter to the hunted. In a move that surprised no one that pays attention to a little thing called the salary cap, they have lost star defensive end/outside linebacker Mario Williams to the Buffalo Bills in free agency. A rumored six year deal costing $100 million with half of it guaranteed....

Rams look to upgrade o-line

The St. Louis Rams have finally realized that they need to upgrade their offensive line. While fans may not like the direction they’re going in that search I think it’s actually pretty smart. Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams are currently in talks with Atlanta Falcons center Todd McClure and Houston Texans tackle Eric Winston. @jthom1: Rams...

Credit the Bills for being aggressive when it came to signing Mario Williams

Houston Texans defensive end Mario Williams (90) tries to get around San Diego Chargers tight end Randy McMichael (81) in the first half at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas on November 7, 2010. The Chargers defeated the Texans 29-23. UPI/Aaron M. Sprecher When I asked one former NFL VP of Player Personnel about whether or not he thought Mario Williams would wind up in Buffalo...

Texans re-sign center Chris Myers

According to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, the Houston Texans have re-signed center Chris Myers to a four-year deal worth $25 million with $14 million fully guaranteed. At one point the Texans were worried they might lose Myers in free agency, but in the end they were able to work something out. The best thing for Myers to do was to stay with the Texans, since he’s a perfect...

Bills Ink Mario Williams

Star defensive end Mario Williams will be taking his services to Buffalo next year to play for the Bills. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Williams has signed a 6-year deal with the Bills worth up to 100 Million, with 50 Million guaranteed. Before being hampered by injuries last year, Williams was one of the best DE’s in the league. The former first pick in the 2006 draft has...

Houston Texans 2012 Mock Draft: A Full 7-Round Look

Last year we all learned that the Houston Texans were a much better team by design than perhaps some anticipated or even believed. But despite being that well-oiled machine that was a stone’s throw away from the 2011 AFC Conference, a few small issues did stand in the way of their magical advancement; issues that will be addressed in the 2012 NFL Draft. The two major focal points...
