The Gronkle spent the morning getting fixed. Two sources with direct knowledge of the situation tell me that Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski underwent successful surgery to fix his ailing ankle this morning. The surgery was an arthroscopic procedure, one that was expected to clean out the ankle. Gronkowski played on a high-ankle sprain in Super Bowl XLVI, battling ligament damage to make two catches for 26 yards. He was not himself. The estimate is that it’s a 10-week recovery.
