Found January 05, 2012 on NBC Philadelphia:
With Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie refusing to give Juan Castillo a vote of confidence at his press conference earlier this week, it's likely that Castillo will be fired. In fact, I don't know why they haven't done it already. I'm SHOCKED that Andy Reid would take too much time off the clock while making a critical decision. But I digress. So the Eagles are going to need a new defensive coordinator. And LOOGIT who just became available on the open market! Why, it's former Rams head coach and former Eagles assistant Steve Spagnuolo, who confirmed his interest in reuniting with his former team. A source close to Spagnuolo said today: Spagnuolo, 52, expects to coach in the NFL next season, and would be interested in any opening that might occur with the Eagles. Spags served as an assistant to the late and lamented Jim Johnson from 2001 until 2006, before moving the Giants and orchestrating a defensive scheme against New England that resulted in perhaps the great...

The St. Louis Rams fire Steve Spagnuolo

The Rams have fired 52-year old head coach Steve Spagnuolo.  The Rams finished tied with the Colts for the worst record in the NFL with a 2-14 record.  The Rams only averaged 12.1 points per game and they have gave up 25.4 points per game this year.  That was not all Spagnuolo’s fault to to the massive amount of injuries the Rams suffered this year, but NFL is a bottom line...

Lurie – Andy Reid “Has the Fire in His Belly to be the Best”; Reid to Return in 2012

Andy Reid Will Remain the Eagles Head Coach

During the Philadelphia Eagles official end of season press conference on Tuesday,  owner Jeffrey Lurie made it clear that head coach Andy Reid isn’t going anywhere and will be back for the 2012 season. “I want Andy back,” said Lurie. Lurie also indicated that defensive coordinator Juan Castillo’s job status will be up to Reid.  [...]

Rams safety Mikell could see Spagnuolo making return to Eagles

Will Steve Spagnuolo replace Juan Castillo as defensive coordinator of the Eagles? It certainly remains a possibility, and one Rams player close to the coach says Spagnuolo wouldn't be against it.

Could Todd Bowles Be Eagles Next Defensive Coordinator?

Many assume that if Juan Castillo is fired from his position as Eagles defensive coordinator it will be to make room for ex-St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo. The idea that the Eagles would fire Castillo and conduct an open search has not been discussed, but maybe should be according to a report from Tim McManus of According to McManus, a source close to the situation...

Steve Spagnuolo, Jim Schwartz, & the Road Not Taken

Spags is my #1 choice for the next Lions head coach--and he ought to be yours, too. That was the closing line of my fifth post ever, the "To Whom it May Concern" for Steve Spagnuolo. I tagged him “Candidate 1A,” thanks to his impressive track record of coaching up defensive backs and harnessing pass-rushing talent. He also had experience in player personnel...
