The Blue Screen:
Steve Spagnuolo still has faith that his former assistant, Bill Sheridan, is the right man to run the Giants’ defense.
That’s what Spagnuolo, the former Giants defensive coordinator and current head coach of the Rams, told me and Jim Miller on Sirius NFL Radio’s Moving the Chains yesterday evening. He believes Sheridan, his old linebackers coach in New York, will find a way to get the Giants’ struggling defense turned around.
“I absolutely think he will,” Spags said. “Not 30 min ago I e-mailed Bill just to tell him. I had an opportunity to watch that game against San Diego. It’s a shame they lost it at the end. They did all the right things at the end, but Philip Rivers had a great drive.
“But they’ll be fine. There are players in that locker room that know how to win. They know what they have to do. They’ll dust themselves off. When all is said and done, they’ll be right there.”
