Jim Mora announced in his press conference this morning that Max Unger will start at center over Chris Spencer. Spencer, the Seahawks first round pick in 2005, has been playing with a cast on his right hand and snapping with his left. This has lead to some fumbled snaps and poor blocking in the past few weeks. Unger, the rookie out of Oregon, played center in college and some in the preseason. Mora said that before the move was made, they went back to look at how Unger played at center in the preseason.  He also said that he believes his experience this season at guard helped him adjust to the speed of the game. Unger gets the nod over back up center Steve Vallos.
