The Minnesota Vikings are trying to figure out how to get off the ground. They struggled through another poor performance by Christian Ponder in Sunday's loss at Seattle, wasting 182 yards rushing and two touchdowns by Adrian Peterson. As the toughest part of their schedule comes into view, the Vikings are searching for solutions to their sputtering passing attack. Coach Leslie Frazier said Monday he hasn't thought about pulling Ponder from a game or even a series. The second-year quarterback has been bothered by a minor injury to his right knee, and he got up slowly a couple of times against the Seahawks. But Frazier said Ponder hasn't complained about the knee and doesn't believe it's a problem. --- Follow Dave Campbell on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/DaveCampbellAP --- Online: http://pro32.ap.org/poll and http://twitter.com/AP-NFL

Christian Ponder Continues To Struggle

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier insists that quarterback Christian Ponder is in no danger of losing his job despite another subpar effort Sunday against the Seahawks.Fantasy Spin:Ponder finished the afternoon with just 63 yards passing and a 37.3 quarterback rating. He's thrown at least one interception in each of his last five games and certainly won't fare much better next...

NFL Rumors: Why Is Leslie Frazier Afraid Of Success For Minnesota Vikings And Adrian Peterson?

Leslie Frazier seems like a perfectly nice guy. He is in his second season as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings and, after a very surprisingly successful start to the 2012 NFL season, it is now looking as if Frazier is afraid of success. He is either afraid of success for both the Vikings as well as Adrian Peterson, or he just has no idea as to how momentum and football both...

Frazier: Run defense back to 'square one'

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier has been taking a close look at his team while is has lost three of its past four games, and one aspect in particular is troubling the coach. Frazier hardly recognizes the team's once stout-run defense, a defense he coordinated before becoming coach. Minnesota has long taken pride in having one of the NFL's top...

Results Are In: Adrian Peterson for President!

Yesterday, the biggest choice many Americans make on a four-year basis occurred, and pretty much EVERYONE voted for the wrong people. EXCEPT FOR PJD READERS. You see, yesterday on Twitter we held our own election for government positions by only using Minnesota Vikings players, coaches, franchise affiliates, former players, mascots, and whatever the hell else I could think of. What...

Adrian Peterson Active For Minnesota

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson didn't practice much this week, but he's a full go against a tough Seattle defense.Fantasy Spin:Peterson didn't let major knee surgery get in the way of his season so an ankle sprain wasn't going to stop him. Peterson is averaging 109 ypg rushing over his last five contests.

Vikings Percy Harvin screams at Leslie Frazier (Video)

After the Minnesota Vikings failed to score a touchdown on a first half drive against the Seattle Seahawks, Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin was pretty angry. As he got back to the Minnesota sidelines, he spotted head coach Leslie Frazier and started arguing with him:

Notebook: Peterson has Vikings' top 5 gains

The Vikings didn’t have much go right for them Sunday in Seattle, but Adrian Peterson accounted for the Vikings’ top five gains when the deep passing game once again struggled. Stats and reaction on both those fronts, as well as Percy Harvin’s frustration, A.J. Jefferson starting, and Allen Reisner being the most productive tight end against Seattle.

Seattle Seahawks defense faces another tough challenge

Stopping Peterson & Harvin Likely Key After what was probably the worst defensive outing of the season for the Seattle Seahawks, the team will hope to rebound this Sunday when the Minnesota Vikings roll into town. The job doesn’t get any easier for the Seahawks defense, as they will have to shut down a pair of Pro Bowlers in Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin if they want...

Vikings Injury Report: Percy Harvin, Adrian Peterson, John Carlson

The Minnesota Vikings are listing wide receiver Percy Harvin as day-to-day after he “badly” sprained his left ankle last weekend, reports the Associated Press. Harvin said that he hopes to play, but he’s considered very questionable considering the extent of his injury. "I'm just going to go day by day. Like I said, I'm in a lot of pain. There's a lot...

Monday Musings: Doug Martin’s heroic effort, Peterson’s big day for naught, another Dallas disappointment; and other notes from week 9

There  is no other way to lead a recap of Sunday’s games than with a discussion of Doug Martin’s effort. I spent the week talking about how the loss of the best guard in football may have an impact on this line (lets give Tampa’s o-line some credit, too) and the run game. Martin and his teammates proved me wrong on game day. Oakland fought valiantly to stay in this game, but...

Frustration in check? Vikings are trying

The Vikings are frustrated with their performances lately and squandering opportunities, but whether it’s Percy Harvin or those involved in the run defense, they are hopeful things will turn around. It’s a delicate balancing act for Leslie Frazier at a critical juncture in the Vikings’ season.

Vikings consider Percy Harvin to be day-to-day

According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free-Press,  Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier says Percy Harvin is day-to-day with his sprained ankle. It was reported earlier in the week that Harvin sprained his ankle in three places.  I really can’t imagine him playing this week.   var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'...
