The Patriots re-signed safety James Ihedigbo today, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports. Ihedigbo had offseason shoulder surgery, and a source indicated last month that he wanted to return to New England. However, the team wanted to wait until he was healthy enough to get back on the field.
