If the Rams are to get anywhere this season, they have to overcome issues in the organization before tackling San Francisco and Seattle in their division. With Jeff Fisher at the helm of the ship, this team will be known for its defense and will have to let its offense grow a bit and reach a level of comfort. Gone is Danny Amendola but Tavon Austin is on the scene to electrify the crowds with his size and speed. The NFC Wst could arguably be the NFL's best division this year. St. Louis will have to see more improvement in the offensive line and in the backfield to see that happen. Here are a few bold predictions that may or may not come true regarding this team and its play this season.1. Sam Bradford takes a step backward. While we are all hoping his progeession would continue following injuries two seasons ago, Bradford may regress instead of progress. I like Bradford, his arm and his ability, but there are many other quarterbacks in this league who are moving at a faster rate than he is.2. Tavon Austin leads the league in receptions. Austin was the eighth selection in the draft and with his size and speed, had beeter the player that was advertised. With more than half the games the Rams play indoors, it could be a track meet Autin will thrive at.3. Jake Long makes the Pro Bowl. After being signed in the offseason from the Miami Dolphins, Long comes right in and plays left tackle, earning himself a trip to Hawaii. The Rams will be set on the left side for the next five years.4. Janoris Jenkins - Zero interceptions. After a rookie season that saw him dominate the secondary and on special teams, Jenkins is now a player who teams know about. Whether that is respect or a change in game planning, I do not know. What I do know is Jenkins is an exciting player to watch.5. Isaiah Pead will play well. You figure him to be the starting running back for this team unless rookie Zac Stacy really makes an impression. The team released Steven Jackson, who was signed by Atlanta. There are still plenty of good veteran backs to fill the spot.6. A top 10 defense. The one thing Jeff Fisher can do is coach defense. While the offense could be a real juggernaut, the defense will still keep this team in games and give opposing offenses fits. I think this team has nine wins in them this season.
