Earlier in the week, long-time running back and three-time Pro Bowler Steven Jackson opted to void his contract with the St. Louis Rams and pursue the free agent market, in search of finding a new home with a team capable of competing for a Super Bowl title.
With Jackson's departure very likely, the Rams are now left to scramble and find a replacement for the incredibly consistent Jackson, who starred for the Rams over the past nine seasons.
Luckily for Rams' general manager Les Snead and head coach Jeff Fischer, there are some very capable options out there. Ahmad Bradshaw, Michael Turner, Shonn Greene, Reggie Bush and Peyton Hillis are all free agents and could be targets of the St. Louis Rams. Many feel the Rams may also look to the NFL Draft if they are not able to lure Jackson back to St. Louis.
If Jackson does leave, then Ahmad Bradshaw could be the perfect fit as a replacement for the 29 year old Jackson.
