As the St. Louis and Indianapolis game approached I bet alot of people were more willing to watch paint dry than watch an Andrew Luck vs. Kellen Clemen matchup. The Colts came in leading their division with a (6-2) record while the Rams had lost three in a row and had fallen to (3-6).Things didn't go as expected for the Colts and Colts fans alike and here are the five things we learned from this matchup.Tavon Austin was drafted by the RamsUntil this game the only thing anyone knew about Tavon Austin is that he was fast and he led the NFL in drops. Well guess what? He is still fast, and he may lead the league in drops, but he had a coming out party today against the Colts secondary and special teamers. Austin hauled in two receptions for 138 yards and two touchdowns. He blew people away with his speed on a 98-yard punt return. Austin is the real deal and if the Rams use him correctly than they have found something in the five foot-eight inch wide receiver out of West Virginia.Kel...

Andrew Luck Gravely Struggles vs. Rams

Colts QB Andrew Luck was picked off three times in Sunday's loss to St. Louis.Fantasy Spin:By all accounts, it was Luck's poorest outing of the season. Still, he salvaged the day somewhat for fantasy owners by racking up 353 yards through the air. Even if most of it was obtained during garbage time, the yardage total was his highest of the season. The second-year phenom will...

Tavon Austin is Alive; he explodes for a huge game

Tavon Austin, the first-round draft pick with uncanny speed and unlimited potential, scored on a 98-yard punt return and grabbed two long TD passes Sunday as the St. Louis Rams ended a three-game losing streak with a stunning 38-8 victory over the AFC South-leading Colts. “I’ve been patient for eight weeks and, hopefully, it’s my […]

Austin's 3 scores lift Rams past Colts

Tavon Austin ran free Sunday, and the Colts couldn't catch him. The rookie returned one punt 98 yards for a touchdown, caught TD passes of 57 and 81 yards and almost single-handedly ended the Rams' three-game losing streak by leading St. Louis to a stunning 38-8 victory at Indianapolis. It was the Colts' worst loss since a 55-point thrashing at New Orleans in 2011. ...

Tavon Austin Has a Career Day for the St. Louis Rams Against Indianapolis

Anyone that was still wondering why the St. Louis Rams drafted the tiny wide receiver from West Virginia (5' 8" and just 176 pounds; I have thoughts that are bigger than him) should not doubt the call after the performance the diminutive rookie turned in against the Colts. His hips may lie, but the numbers don't--310 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns! @SBNationGIF...

Rams WR Tavon Austin explodes for career day

Outside of the Jaguars grabbing their first victory of the season and maybe the Bengals successful Hail Mary to force overtime vs. the Ravens, the wackiest game on the Week 10 schedule had to be the Rams facing the Colts on the road. Indianapolis was a 9.5-point favorite and was coming off big wins vs. the Broncos and Seahawks in recent weeks, and it seemed as though the Colts shouldn...

Indianapolis Colts: 2013 Week 10 NFL Power Rankings (#6)

Last week: 7 (+1) Record: 6-2 Andrew Luck’s struggles against the Texans without Reggie Wayne in a near loss have to be concerning. Luck completed 18 of 40 for 271 yards and 3 touchdowns. He made plays when needed and a lot of the blame falls on his receivers, but it’s a concern. The Colts have to hope it’s not something that continues going forward. Fortunately, their schedule...

Tavon Austin Returns Punt for TD, Wins Tony Award for Best Actor

And in the time it took to write this post, he had scored twice more.Just to recap, a few minutes into the 3rd: The Kellen Clemens-led Rams are completely shutting down Andrew Luck, T.Y. Hilton and are up 35-0 on the #1 in the AFC South Colts at he half.  Eagle-eyed viewers will note that right before Austin scoops up the football, he waves it off as if he’ll let it bounce into...

Justin Tucker, Tavon Austin dance like Cousin Terio (GIFs)

Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker and St. Louis Rams wide receiver Tavon Austin both had huge days on Sunday to lead their teams to victory. Tucker, who you see above, drained a game-winning 46-yard field goal against the division rival Cincinnati Bengals in overtime. He earned extra style points by dancing like Cousin Terio after […]

Austin runs wild, Rams jolt Colts 38-8

Even though the roof was closed at Lucas Oil Stadium, it was a day of thunderbolts — thunderbolts delivered by the underdog Rams. Chris Long’s first NFL touchdown. Tavon Austin scoring touchdowns without having them called back by penalty. You talk about strange sights at Lucas Oil. The Rams had four touchdowns of 45 yards or more, building up a lead that not even phenom Indianapolis...

2013 NFL Power Rankings: Week 11

You can never get too comfortable in the NFL. Just look at the Colts. No. 2 here last week, Andrew Luck & Co. appeared to be a team on the rise. Then they returned to the field and got blindsided by the Kellen Clemens-led Rams in a 38-8 loss. Did our voters (John Clayton, Ashley Fox, Dan Graziano, Jamison Hensley, Mike Sando and Kevin Seifert) give Indy a pass? Not exactly...

Week 10 Breakout NFL Players

What a week it has been in the NFL full of upsets and amazing games. The Carolina Panthers beat the 49ers, the Rams dominated the Indianapolis Colts and a woeful Andrew Luck, and Baltimore beat the Cincinnati Bengals in overtime after a hail mary to end regulation to tie the game up from Andy Dalton […]

NFL Awards Week 10: Cowboys Don't Want the D Edition

Welcome to Week 10 of the NFL awards, where this week, down is up and south is north as the Jaguars and Bucs both get wins, plus the Cowboys are no fans of the "She Wants the D" meme, since they didn't play any in New Orleans. Also this week...the Rams "ram" the Colts, and a big part of that was Tavon Austin's awesome coming-out party, we try to contract...

Colts lose to Rams in a Comeback Proof disaster.

I guess I picked the wrong game to attend. The Colts’ Week 10 game versus the St. Louis Rams was the first game of the season that I’ve attended at Lucas Oil Stadium. Boy, was I present for a gem. Ouch. Everything about the Colts’ performance on Sunday was bad. The team returned to the version of the team we saw for three fourths of the game versus the Texans in Week 9. A bad...
