As if things couldn’t get any worse for the 0-5 St. Louis Rams, head coach Steve Spagnuolo confirmed to the media this afternoon that second-year QB Sam Bradford is in a walking boot and has suffered a high ankle sprain. This report was confirmed this afternoon by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This is more bad news from a team which is moving backwards faster than forwards this season. The timing couldn’t be worse for the Rams. The club announced earlier this afternoon that they executed a trade with the Denver Broncos for WR Brandon Lloyd, trying to add some juice to their depleted offense which is averaging less than 10 points per game. There has not been any determination when Sam Bradford might return to the lineup, but usually, high ankle sprains are injuries which take several weeks to heal.
