St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford was carted off the field during the fourth quarter of the team’s matchup with the Carolina Panthers on Sunday with a left knee injury. Now the Rams fear their franchise quarterback has a torn ACL. Bradford was shoved from behind as he was running out of bounds and he immediately collapsed in pain. He couldn’t put any weight on his left leg and Kellen Clemens had to replace him. The Rams were said to be “concerned” as he headed into his MRI on Sunday night and apparently are pretty convinced the 25-year-old will miss the rest of the season. According to Rams head coach Jeff Fisher, Bradford was in significant pain after the injury and that does not bode well for he former No. 1 overall pick. The Panthers beat the Rams 30-15 and while he was in the game, Bradford was his typical up-and-down self. He completed 21-of-30 passes for 255 yards, with one touchdown and a tipped pass that was intercepted and returned for a touchdown on the game’s first play. Rams receiver Brian Quick also dropped a perfect pass that should have been a 29-yard touchdown. Bradford had actually been developing nicely this season. So far this year he has completed 159-of-252 passes (63.1 percent), for 1,687 yards, with 14 touchdowns and four interceptions. His quarterback rating sits at 94.8. The Rams now sit at 3-4 and are clearly not headed for the playoffs. Bradford is due to make around $27 million over the next two years, but his salary for 2015 is not guaranteed. At this point there is no way the Rams could afford to cut him loose after this season, plus as stated before, his play has been vastly improved this season.   The post St. Louis Rams fear Sam Bradford has torn ACL appeared first on Midwest Sports Fans.
