The Penalty Flag:
Entering the 2012 season, the St. Louis Rams looked only to start the rebuilding of a team that went 2-14 in 2011. They started at the top with replacing General Manager Billy Devaney, and replaced him with the Atlanta Falcons Head of Player Personnel Director Les Snead. Snead immediately looked for a Head Coach and was able to lure long time Tennessee Titan Head Coach Jeff Fisher to St. Louis. Fisher has done a remarkable job rebuilding a failed Rams team that was tied for the worst record in Football last year. Using all the building blocks available to them, Snead and Fisher have transformed this Ram team through both the draft and free agency. They have cultivated the youngest team in the NFL into a team that thinks it can win every week, and thus far they have shown they can do it.… Read more

Leading the hit-parade was rookie Greg “The Leg” Zuerlein who booted two franchise record field goals ending up with the best at 60 yards. The Leg scored four field goals for a total of 12 of the 19 points St. Louis put on the board; the other seven came from a fake field goal also pulled off by the Rams special teams when holder John Hekker fired off a pass to Danny Amendola...
While St. Louis Rams running back Stephen Jackson is listed
as questionable for tonight’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, a team source
has told Stacey Dales of NFL.com that the 29-year-old “is a go.”
Jackson has been listed as questionable for the last three
games, and his production’s been lacking on the season. He has yet to carry the
ball more than 21...
Rookie kicker Greg Zuerlein has topped the field goal record he set earlier in the Rams game against the Seahawks on Sunday with a 60-yarder in the third quarter.
Zuerlein kicked a club-record 58-yarder in the first quarter, and his 60-yarder put St. Louis ahead 16-7.
Zuerlein is a sixth-round pick out of Missouri Western, and now is 11 for 11 on field goal tries.
Rams receiver Danny Amendola had his usual PPR-friendly line -- six catches for 55 yards -- Sunday against the Seahawks, but he also added a touchdown on a fake field goal late in the first half.Fantasy Spin:Amendola has had at least five catches in every game this season, including 15 in Week 2. The receiver's touchdown Sunday is one that Sam Bradford owners won't like since...
The St. Louis Rams needed an offensive spark. According to the Fox broadcast of the Rams game with the Seattle Seahawks, the Rams had not scored a touchdown in one hundred offensive plays.
On Sunday, Jeff Fisher used some trickery to find the end zone.
After being stopped near the end of the second quarter on third and goal, Fisher sent his field goal unit out on the field with...
ST. LOUIS (AP) Missouri Western was a must stop for NFL special teams coaches this spring. Everyone wanted a close look at the kicker who made 21 field goals in a row, nine of them from midfield or beyond.
The Vikings put Greg Zuerlein high on their shopping list. The Texans, made the trip to St. Joseph, Mo., too. Rams special teams coach John Fassel showed up twice.
Greg Zuerlein kicked four field goals, including a 58-yarder and a club record 60-yarder, to help the St. Louis Rams to a 19-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Special teams led the way for the Rams (2-2), with a fake field goal turning into a 2-yard touchdown pass from punter Johnny Hekker to Danny Amendola to put St. Louis ahead 10-7 late in the first half.
As I predicted, the Rams did beat the Seahawks. It was a tough game, but the Rams were able to pull through and win 19-13. It was a close game that couldn't have got much closer. Many of the points scored were from field goals by the rookie kicker Greg Zuerlein. Zuerlein had four field goals including a 60-yard field goal. If you haven't learned how to spell "Zuerlein...
It was another tough win for the Rams, but they were able to pull it off. They are definitely grateful for another win. The Rams beat the Seahawks 19-13 mainly due to the help of kicker Greg Zuerlein. We already learned what a great kicker he is earlier in the season. Below is a list of five things we learned from this game.1. The Rams Can Win At HomeThe Rams have won both of their...
ST. LOUIS -- There was no fantastic finish for the Seattle Seahawks this time. Relying on thunder-footed rookie kicker Greg Zuerlein and a defense which kept the Seahawks out of the end zone after the game's first 4 minutes and 15 seconds, the St. Louis Rams matched their win total of 2011 with a 19-13 win Sunday at Edward Jones Dome. Zuerlein, a sixth-round draft pick in...
ST. LOUIS -- Relying on thunder-footed rookie kicker Greg Zuerlein and a defense which kept the Seahawks out of the end zone after the game's first 4 minutes and 15 seconds, St. Louis matched its win total of 2011 with a 19-13 verdict Sunday at Edward Jones Dome. Zuerlein, a sixth-round draft pick in April out of Missouri Western, drilled field goals of 58, 48, 60 and 24 yards...
Personally, I'm a huge fan of trick plays and this fake field goal that the St. Louis Rams pulled off against the Seattle Seahawks was a thing of beauty.
The Rams were trailing 7-3 and appeared to be kicking a short field goal to cut Seattle's lead to one.
However, the Rams called a fake field goal as punter Johnny Hekker finds Danny Amendola in the right corner...

One of only two unbeaten QBs
10) The Bills took a big lead on the Patriots, just to show that they could still give up 52 points and get blown out anyway
9) Greg Zuerlein is the Rams' kicker, he connected from 58 and 60 yards, and honestly, it might be time to start taking the air out of the kicking balls
8) You can not stop Dwayne Bowe from providing fantasy goodness in...
There are three phases to every football game: offense, defense and special teams. Often overlooked in the shuffle of competition is the importance of the latter phase, a phase that sees second- and third-string players who fought for roster spots in training camp take the field. On this particular afternoon, the St. Louis Rams reminded football fans just how important these fringe...
