St. Louis Rams fans who are still nervous about the prospects of owner Stan Kroenke moving the team to L.A. may be able to rest a little bit easier after the latest report from Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports. According to Cole, the previously discussed stadium deal that was in place in an attempt to lure a NFL franchise back to Los Angeles is "essentially dead." The news comes just six months after the leaders in L.A. approved the plan put forth by AEG to build a downtown stadium. While this is good news to Rams' fans, as well as fans of the Oakland Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Diego Chargers and any other team who possibly could relocate, the NFL is not ruling out alternative locations in the Los Angeles area. "We continue to monitor the AEG situation and remain interested in multiple sites in the Los Angeles area," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said in a statement.
