(Photo by Dilip Vishwanat/Getty Images) It has been a Jekyll and Hyde season for the St. Louis Rams so far. One day they show signs of improvement and a stellar defensive performance. The next game they look like the youngest team in the NFL making mistakes and dropping balls left and right. This coming Sunday the St. Louis Rams (3-3) will travel to take on the Carolina Panthers (2-3). The Rams have played two games of consistent football, but if history tells us anything, they are bound to lay an egg soon. Coming into the season the St. Louis defense was going to be the corner stone of the team. For the first four weeks the Rams defense looked nothing like they were last year. But in the last two games we have started to see signs of the dominant defense. Janoris Jenkins is starting to prove again he is a top caliber defensive back and Alec Ogletree is looking like the better first round pick between him and Tavon Austin. This week the Rams will need to keep playing like a top defe...

QB Bradford off to good start for Rams

ST. LOUIS -- Sam Bradford has gotten off to the best start of his career by spreading the wealth. The St. Louis Rams ran only 41 plays last week while riding a wave of turnovers to an easy win at Houston. It helped that Bradford found a way to get almost everyone involved, with nine players combining for 12 receptions and three running backs getting touches. Through six games,...

Tavon Austin being wasted by Sam Bradford's inaccuracy?

Rookie wide receiver and eighth-overall pick Tavon Austin hasn't had much of an impact to the St. Louis Rams offense as most thought he would, and people are starting to see why. An nameless personnel man from another NFL team thinks suggests "little receivers don't work with inaccurate quarterbacks," he told USA TODAY Sports. That inaccurate quarterback would...

St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford isn’t to blame for rookie Tavon Austin’s struggles

One NFL executive claims St. Louis Rams rookie Tavon Austin has struggled because quarterback Sam Bradford is “inaccurate.” Taken first overall in 2010, the 25-year-old Bradford has tossed 13 scores, against three interceptions, for 1,432 yards over six games. Despite posting solid stats, the former Sooner has completed a mediocre 59.5% of his 232 attempts. Accordingly, chosen...

Steve Smith threatens to punch Janoris Jenkins in the mouth

Steve Smith is one of the few players in the NFL that I think will follow through on his threat. Steve Smith: Janoris Jenkins was talking trash about my family. If I see him in the streets I'll punch him in his (effing) mouth — Jonathan Jones (@jjones9) October 20, 2013 For whatever reason the Panthers and Rams seems to have some bad blood. Lot of trash talking, lot of fights...

Rams finding rare success in red zone

For much of the lost decade of Rams football the red zone was the dead zone. It’s where potential scoring drives went to die. Over the four-year period that encompassed the Steve Spagnuolo coaching tenure and the last year of the Scott Linehan regime the Rams finished either 31st or 32nd in red zone offense. Things weren’t much better in ‘07 (25th). Last year under Jeff Fisher...

Because Janoris Jenkins Is Just Another Notch In Steve Smith’s Bedpost

I imagine St. Louis Rams cornerback Janoris Jenkins went into the game versus the Carolina Panthers with good intentions as he tried to use the internet to dig up intel on the life of Steve Smith.
