Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his final press conference of the 2011 season on Monday to talk about the loss to the Denver Broncos yesterday and the season as a whole. Tomlin said the team suffered three significant injuries yesterday in the loss as left tackle Max Starks suffered an ACL knee injury of some sorts as did nose tackle Casey Hampton. Both are being reevaluated today to see if they will require surgery. During Mike Tomlin’s noon press conference today we got a plethora of injury updates.  Among the significant ones, was that both Casey Hamptom and Max Starks suffered injuries to their ACL’s.  There will be tests done today to determine whether those injuries will require surgery.

The Steelers have lost two thirds of their defensive line already in the game.  Casey Hampton went down with a knee injury and is questionable.  Brett Keisel went out with a leg injury.  His status is not updated yet.

The Steelers came away with many big injuries on Sunday.  They lost Casey Hampton and Max Starks to ACL injuries.  They also lost Brett Keisel to a major groin injury and Maurkice Pouncey has been down for a while with a high ankle sprain.  All four of these guys will most likely be getting some type of work done in the offseason.
