Start & Sit, fantasy football, start, sit, advice

There are pros and cons to playing fantasy football all the way through Week 17.

The pros obviously are that you get another week of fake football, more than the majority of us who wrap up our seasons in Week 16. That’s one more week of smack talk, one more week of anticipation and anxiety, one more potential week of winning.

But the cons outweigh the pros, in my opinion. No way to tell how much your studs are going to play (Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, etc. all could be pulled by halftime or earlier). Teams already in the playoffs with seeds locked in place treat this like a preseason game. And since it is championship week, you are going to have to rely on players you never would have considered to deliver your title.

Something I think I will try next year came from a Twitter follower of mine: A Week 17 fantasy football scramble. So the fantasy championship still will be held in Week 16, but instead of ending the season we add a free-for-all in Week 17 to give all the owners one more chance to win some cash money. It is a nice little twist to squeeze out one more week of fantasy football during the regular season.

No regular advice this week, but if you have start/sit questions hit me up on Twitter (@TheHazean) and/or Facebook. Good luck this weekend!
