No matter where you go, there’s one thing you will always find: A Steelers fan.
Believe me, I spot them everywhere I go. In February I even met a 5-year-old fan on the beach in Fort Lauderdale. And at the Big East Tournament Championship in New York City a couple weeks ago, a man was wearing a Heath Miller jersey. I see flags and logos on cars everywhere I go. No matter where I am, Steeler Nation represents.
As most of you know, I grew up in central Pennsylvania and my father was my influence in becoming a fan. So, I wondered, what influenced others to become Steelers fans?
I got plenty of answers, most of the stories similar to mine. Robyn told me her father was a big fan and she was brought home from the hospital when she was born wrapped in a terrible towel. In Pittsburgh, that’s true for many newborns.
