The Steelers were around $25 million over the cap for 2012. They have made some moves since then. Here is a list of the latest player moves.
Cuts and Restructures and Cap Savings:
Hines Ward- $3.39 Million
LaMarr Woodley- $6,56 Million
Lawence Timmons- $5.14 Million
Ike Taylor- $3.28 Million
Bryant McFadden and Arnaz Battle + 2 Future Contracts- $3.5 Million(not exact)
That brings the Steelers total in saving so far to around $21.87 Million. That leaves the Steelers with around $3.13 million to get down under the salary cap. This is good news for the Steelers. The only hard cut so far would be Hines Ward. They have been able to keep the core in tact and still almost get under the cap.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward jumped on his Facebook page to tell fans that he’s willing to restructure his $4 million contract in order to remain with the team.
It was a last ditch effort to save his job.
Ward’s Facebook post is in response to an NFL Network report that the Steelers are planning to cut the 14-year NFL veteran in an effort to get under the salary cap.
