Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace will not report to camp amid his contract dispute with the team. Wallace was supposed to move into his dorm room by 3PM at the Steelers training camp in Latrobe, Pennsylvania and take part in conditioning tests. Wallace was offered a one year, $2.7 million tender from the Steelers. He has not signed it and has not taken part in any offseason drills with the team. "Obviously, we have a desire for him to be here," Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said. "We want him to be part of this thing, both short-term and long-term. We've been in negotiations with him. He's not here today. That's unfortunate for him." The Steelers have already lost Hines Ward to retirement, so Wallace will sorely be missed by the Steelers. Although there has been rumblings that a long term deal was in the works. Wallace was a Pro Bowl starter last season ranking 11th in receiving yards with 1,193 and he led the league in yards-per-catch with 21 yards per catch in 2010.
