I will never be the one to say any regular season matchup with the Steelers is predictable...but the Eagles have a terrific chance to go into Game 5 of the 2012 season with Pittsburgh and set the tone for a playoff run.
You may say it's too early to begin speaking of playoffs ("Playoffs! Are you kidding me!!), but to come out of Heinz Field this Sunday with a "W" would put the Birds at 4-1...and give them a huge boost of momentum moving forward.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a bye week and look to rebound from their embarrassing loss, 34-31, to Oakland. Their defense looked horrible and seemingly gave up in the 4th quarter. The Steelers had trouble rushing the quarterback which resulted in big pass plays. Many people are questioning whether or not coordinator Dick LeBeau is still the defensive mastermind as people knew him to be. The Steelers have a tough test ahead of them as they take on the Eagles.
But there is Big Ben, still standing......

Steelers' Harrison, Polamalu practice
Injured Steelers James Harrison and Troy Polamalu practiced on Monday as the team returned from its bye week.
Harrison declined to speculate on whether he'll be available for Sunday's game against Philadelphia. The four-time Pro Bowler has been slowed by a left knee injury and he skipped the team's final practice last week. Harrison said he'll have a better idea...
Steelers Injury Report: Rashard Mendenhall, Troy Polamalu, James Harrison
Despite their 1-2 start to the season, the Pittsburgh
Steelers could receive a significant boost this weekend on both sides of the
football. Running back Rashard Mendenhall and linebacker James Harrison could
make their season debuts for Pittsburgh, while safety Troy Polamalu could
return from an injury that’s kept him out the past two weeks.
Harrison and Polamalu...
Steelers LB James Harrison, FS Troy Polamalu Return To Practice
The starting defense the Steelers thought they were getting when the season opened finally practiced together on Monday.
There's still no telling if the same 11 guys will suit up on Sunday against Philadelphia.
Injured stars James Harrison and Troy Polamalu were on the field as the Steelers (1-2) returned from their bye week. While Harrison remained vague about the chances...
James Harrison, Troy Polamlu fully practiced on Monday
The Steelers have been without linebacker James Harrison for the entire regular season so far and safety Troy Polamalu has been out since week one. Both players fully practiced on Monday and it looks like Polamalu will at least have a very good chance at playing this week against the Eagles.
With nothing certain, Harrison made it clear that he’s hopeful he’ll be on the field...

Patience will be key with injured Steelers returning to lineup
Mike Tomlin had his weekly press conference on Tuesday, and among the hot topics was the status of injured players James Harrison, Troy Polamalu, and Rashard Mendenhall. According to Tomlin each practiced on Monday and the team will see how the players do throughout the week before making a final decision on their playing status.
He was optimistic though about the possibility of...
Philadelphia Eagles (3-1) at Pittsburgh Steelers (1-2)
Philadelphia Eagles (3-1) at Pittsburgh Steelers (1-2)
I really wish these two teams weren’t playing each other. I was so looking forward to betting Pittsburgh back at home this week off their bye after they fell flat in Oakland before the bye. That loss in Oakland, as bad as Oakland is, was predictable. The Steelers have really struggled on the road, as opposed to at home, over...
Mendenhall, Harrison and Polamalu will likely play this week
According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Tribune, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin believes both linebacker James Harrison and safety Troy Polamalu will play this week.
Bouchette also tweeted that Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall is ready to make his season debut this Sunday against the Eagles.
With Polamalu, Harrison & Mendenhall back, season outlook will be clear
Mike Tomlin didn’t mention a single player on his injury report at his weekly presser yesterday. Marcus Gilbert wasn’t the only guy that didn’t practice, still nursing a sore groin, but he’ll be good to go. If Gilbert was the only one NOT practicing, it ment that Troy Polamalu, Rashard Mendenhall AAANNNDDD James Harrison were all getting ready for Sunday’s showdown with...
