What a difference a year makes. Troy is back and practicing with the team in the off-season. Aaron Smith is healthy and back in the mix.  Larry Foote has returned from Detroit and Bryant McFadden came back from Arizona. In other words, don’t sleep on our defense. After last season’s gap in the secondary – mainly because the Steelers have to play a lot differently without Troy than when Troy is on the field – this year the entire defense is back to smashmouth excellence.  I hate that the defense depends on one player so much, but Troy’s quickness and ability to see a play unfold and beat the ball to where it’s going is just something that not everyone can do.  And while Ryan Mundy is a decent safety – come on he’s okay – he can’t play strong safety as well as he can play free safety.
