After the Charlie Batch led victory over the Ravens at Baltimore, the Steelers were looking like they were playoff-bound. However, after a disappointing last couple of weeks, the Steelers face a must-win game against the Bengals at home tomorrow. According to the prediction market, the Steelers have a 55% chance to beat the Bengals. Basically, they are favorites, but not by much. In conjunction with the Steelers meltdown, the Ravens have been playing terribly lately as well. Despite our last two losses, the Steelers can still win the division if they beat the Bengals and the Browns if Baltimore loses its last two games (check out our handy flow chart to see the road to the playoffs for the Steelers). Baltimore is playing the Giants at home this week and then play the Bengals on the road. These are two games the Ravens can easily lose. According to, the Ravens only have a 43% chance of beating the Giants at home. Many Steeler fans don’t hold up much...

Mike Tomlin’s Steelers with zero playoff wins in last 3 out of 4 seasons.

The loss to the Bengals is still all to fresh in our minds, but this puts it into some perspective for everyone. If you’re a supporter of Mike Tomlin, that’s fine. If you’re a detractor then that’s fine too. Either way, changes need to happen, and not just little ones. If major changes aren’t made by Mr Cliche and Kevin Colbert who is also to blame for this debacle of a...

Steelers Offense Could Change Again if Haley Leaves After 2012

Former Steelers offensive coordinator, and current Cardinals head coach, Ken Whisenhunt is rumored to be on the hot seat in Arizona. If the Cardinals fire Whisenhunt they are expected to, at least, take a look at current Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley. Haley was the offensive coordinator in Arizona from 2007-2008. Hypothetically speaking if the Cardinals did hire Haley...

The Steelers have to win this Division Match-up. Week 16 Preview.

The Steelers have to beat the Bengals this week if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive. The season is coming to a close and I'm sitting at 142-82.  That's over .600 but I can do better.   Here's a look at week 16 Atlanta at Detroit - The Falcons destroyed the Giants last week and silenced a few critics that say they can't win the big game...

While Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Mike Adams was able to practice at a limited capacity on Thursday, safety Troy Polamalu and cornerback Keenan Lewis were sidelined due to injury. James Harrison says he’s lowered his target area on opposing players to avoid fines

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison has finally adapted to the NFL’s rules on hitting defenseless players below the head and neck area. “I’ve really lowered my target area to where it’s down around the knees,” Harrison said Friday on “Mike & Mike in the Morning.” “Situations come along where you could tackle the guy high. I don’t do that anymore. I...

Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers: Week 16 NFL Pick

Cincinnati Bengals (8-6) at Pittsburgh Steelers (7-7) Apparently the roof is falling in Pittsburgh. They’ve gone from favored by 4.5 to favored by 3 (passing two key numbers) and the public is still on Cincinnati. Why? Because they lost in overtime in Dallas in a game that was meaningless for them because they still control their own destiny? Because they lost another game as non...

James Harrison Says He’ll Go After Knees With Ban of Helmet-to-Helmet Hits

It’s no secret that many players in the NFL are upset over the enforcement of the rule against helmet-to-helmet contact. The argument is typically that it’s too difficult to adjust oneself in the midst of throwing a hit, and it isn’t a realistic target to eliminate such hits from the game. Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison feels the same way — and might have a...
