Yesterday, the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the New York Jets 19-6 in MetLife stadium in New Jersey for their first win of the season. Ben Roethlisberger threw for over 260 yards and one touchdown for the Steelers as he led the way. The defense also had a great game by forcing their first turnovers of the year intercepting Geno Smith twice when the Jets were driving down the field. The Jets got out to an early 3-0 lead after the Jets got good field position on a bad punt by Zoltan Mesko. The Steelers answered right back with nine straight unanswered points before the Jets kicked a field goal to go into halftime down 9-6 to the Steelers. In the 2nd half, the Steelers just completely dominated the Jets. The Jets just couldn't do anything right offensively and failed to score a single point yesterday in the 2nd half. In the 3rd quarter, the Jets punted almost every time. The Steelers sacked him two or 3 times yesterday and shut him down from running outside. The Jets had a wide open ...

Jets lose a slugfest at home 19-6

East Rutherford, NJ - Lou Holtz once said, "You're never as good as everyone tells you when you win, and you're never as bad as they say when you lose." That couldn't be any more fitting coming off the high of the Monday night win in Atlanta, to today's 19-6 stinker to the now 1-4 Steelers. Jets up, down and inconsistent through 3-3 start

The New York Jets were looking like anything but a playoff contender. Then, they pulled off an upset victory last Monday at Atlanta, and the postseason didn't seem so silly a notion.
