Steel City Blitz:
What we know is that former Pittsburgh Steelers’ offensive coordinator and current Arizona Cardinals’ head coach Ken Whisenhunt is likely to be out of a job within the next two weeks. After a Super Bowl appearance that seems like a century ago, Whisenhunt teams have struggled especially the last couple of years. After a 4-0 start the team then lost nine straight before beating Detroit last week. The writing is on the wall and Whiz will soon be on the NFL’s unemployment line. As is the case, the NFL rumor mill is spinning wildly already. Rumors started this week that Steelers’ offensive coordinator Todd Haley could be on the short list of candidates in the desert. As is always the case with rumors, we need to be careful about how much credence we put into these stories. The first question is why would Haley still be a head coaching candidate? While the offense in Pittsburgh has had moments of being better than recent years, many of the same problems still exist for this team. Haley’s...

Following the Steelers' loss on Sunday to the Dallas Cowboys, Ben Roethlisberger publicly questioned offensive coordinator Todd Haley's play calling, and in doing so, Roethlisberger may have pushed the Steelers towards abandoning Haley and his offensive system. At times, Pittsburgh has looked nothing short of prolific on offense this season. The rest of the time, however...
If Ben Roethlisberger can stand before the media and take the blame for a loss that clearly was not all on him then so can I. I can admit when I’m wrong and I owe many people an apology although I’m not going as far as some of you think.
I was tired of Bruce Arians’ offense. I was tired of bubble screens and seeing Roethlisberger on his back more than Joan Rivers awaiting another...
Thanks to Benson for sending this over.
I may be partial to Mr. Magoo's A Christmas Carol in terms of animated yuletide specials, but Charlie Batch having anything to do with Christmas wins Christmas.
Hopefully this season turns out less depressing than the typical Charlie Brown life scenario. Video below:
Here we go.

A lot has been made about the post-game comments made by Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger following the overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley didn't take Ben Roethlisberger's recent criticism personally, he told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Thursday.
"That was an emotional game," Haley said. "Whatever was said can't be taken too much to the heart because that's the way this game is. Guys will get into it in locker rooms, in the building, on the...
Ben Roethlisberger said he took complete blame for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, but he also took the opportunity to publicly question offensive coordinator Todd Haley’s decision-making. Roethlisberger said he was disappointed that the team strayed away from the no-huddle in the second half and wondered why tight end Heath Miller was not more...
PITTSBURGH — Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t think he and Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley need to be best friends to co-exist.
The quarterback, however, also knows he can’t start calling Haley out when things don’t go as planned, no matter how bothered the Steelers captain may get by the playcalling
It’s why Roethlisberger apologized to Haley, coach Mike...
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger cricitized offensive coordinator Todd Haley about his play selection last week and on Wednesday apologized for his remarks. Roethlisberger thought the Steelers should have focused on getting the ball to tight end Heath Miller and stayed in the no-huddle offense more in their 27-24 overtime loss to Dallas last Sunday. "There...
Ben Roethlisberger apologized to his offensive coordinator Todd Haley and to the Rooney family according to Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review but the apology likely will not end Big Ben's frustration in Haley's offense.
Although Big Ben's timing could have been better, many observers believe Roethlisberger's complaints about the offense and his role...
