NFL Injury Report:
The Pittsburgh Steelers are already at a disadvantage today because of their travel schedule. The aftermath of Hurricane (superstore) Sandy, the Steelers could not get a hotel in the New York area, nor did they want to take away room from those who truly need them. So, they are traveling on game day, playing the game, and leaving. All they can hope for is some of their nagging injuries will not hinder them and allow them to play up to their capabilities. Here's your injury report for the Steelers:
Jeremy Elliot of the Patriot News says the Steelers need their running game to help balance out the offense if they are going to have a chance against the New York Giants. This means, their injured running backs will still have to go out and play. This includes Isaac Redman who is battling a sore ankle.
Jonathan Dwyer has two-straight 100-yard rushing games. He probably won't get a shot for a third. Matt Ehalt of ESPN New York says Dwyer is doubtful with a right quad strain.
Rashard Mendenhall has been battling an achilles injury, and it looks like he won't be able to play today against the Giants. Jim McBride of the Boston Globe has Mendenhall listed as one of the game's key injuries and doubtful.
The Steelers come into New York with a 4-3 record, one game behind the Baltimore Ravens. The Giants, on the other hand, are sitting at 6-2 and in first place in the NFC East.

Mike Bires tweets that Steelers RB Jonathan Dwyer missed Friday’s practice with a quad injury and adds that “all signs point to” Isaac Redman getting the start against the Giants this weekend.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jonathan Dwyer is considered doubtful for Sunday's game against the New York Giants because a sore quad muscle. The Beaver County (Pa.) Pittsburgh halfback Isaac Redman had his best game of the season Sunday against the Giants.Fantasy Spin:With Rashard Mendenhall and Jonathan Dwyer both on the sidelines with injuries, Redman was able to explode for 147 yards on 26 carries. His go-ahead touchdown with four minutes remaining gave the Steelers their fifth win of the season.
Calls like the one Mike Tomlin made in the fourth quarter of yesterday’s win over the New York Giants are the type that make sports talk radio thrive. Of course there will be thousands of people who’ll say they loved the call and thousands more who will say they hated the call and many who won’t offer an opinion simply because the Steelers went onto win anyway. Here’s the...
The fantasy football season is flying by as we head into week ten already. We are in the home stretch and you are hopefully playing for a playoff berth in your respective fantasy league. With the Friday injury report now out for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and no Saturday roster moves expected, we can now look at the projected inactive list for the Sunday game against the New York Giants.
3 of the 7 names on the list this week will be inactive this week because those players have been ruled out for the game due to injuries and 2 more on the list were listed as doubtful...
