NFL Injury Report:
The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without at least five
players for Sunday night’s contest against the Cincinnati Bengals, including
running backs Isaac Redman and Rashard Mendenhall and safety Troy Polamalu, reports
John Clayton of ESPN.
Running backs Rashard
Mendenhall (Achilles) and Isaac
Redman (ankle), who were
both previously listed as questionable, haven't practiced all week and won't
play. Also sidelined are safety Troy Polamalu (calf), tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) and linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring), as coach Mike Tomlin ruled them out
earlier this week.
Mendenhall strained his right Achilles during last Thursday’s
loss to the Tennessee Titans, and Redman continues to be hampered by an ankle
injury. Jonathan Dwyer will suit up as the team’s starting running back.
Center Maurkice Pouncey could also be sidelined this
weekend. He’s attempting to recover from a knee injury.
