The Pittsburgh Steelers entered their Thursday night contest
against the Tennessee Titans without linebacker LaMarr Woodley and safety Troy
Polamalu. They exited the game with several more players banged up. Center
Maurkice Pouncey and running back Rashard Mendenhall each exited the game with
Mendenhall left the game in the third quarter with an
Achilles injury. He made his debut for the Steelers Week 5 against the
Philadelphia Eagles. Backup running back Isaac Redman (ankle) was also injured
during the game.
Pouncey exited with a leg injury. Pittsburgh’s offensive
line has faced questions all season, and that’s been with a healthy Pouncey,
who’s considered one of the best young centers in the NFL. The Steelers also
lost offensive lineman Marcus Gilbert to an ankle injury.
