The goal for the Pittsburgh Steelers this time of year is simple:
Build a better roster.
But with 31 other teams attempting to do the same, sometimes players slip through the cracks:
We have signed WR Miles Boykin

A member of the Steelers for the past two seasons, Boykin wasn’t a feature in the WR corps, though his departure doesn’t help an already thin position.
Where his loss does become noticeable however, is on special teams, and more specifically gunner on punt team and kick coverage.
With Pittsburgh already losing James Pierre in free agency, the team is now slated to start two brand new gunners in 2024.
A franchise that values special teams, it may seem trivial, but the loss just adds to a growing list of needs for Pittsburgh, even if this one carries the least amount of weight.
