Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his post game press conference following the 37-27 win Sunday over the Detroit Lions and below is a transcript of what he had to say during the session courtesy of steelers.com.
Mike Tomlin: Boy, that’s a satisfying victory. A good, tough week for us, not only in terms of the game but from a preparation standpoint. We had some guys that had to step up, obviously. Guys like Guy Whimper, guys like Jarvis Jones and Jason Worilds, obviously playing without [LaMarr] Woodley in that mix. I just liked the efforts of all parties involved. Obviously, we were going to be tested and that’s a good football team. We did some things to shoot ourselves in the foot. We got penalized a little bit there on offense. We didn’t convert some red zone opportunities. It minimized the things that we had going there in the first half, specifically. Defensively, I thought right there at the end of the first half we just were defeating ourselves. We weren’t where...

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw for 367 yards and four touchdowns Sunday to lead Pittsburgh to a 37-27 win against the Detroit Lions. “Maybe I made myself more tradeable,” he said jokingly to Ron Cook of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. After a week of swirling trade rumors and speculation that Roethlisberger was unhappy with the Steelers, the 10-year pro said he felt...

Has Todd Haley redeemed himself in the eyes of Steeler nation, and more importantly, the Rooney family and Mike Tomlin? Let’s not get too carried away.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has left the game against the Detroit Lions in the second quarter with a right foot injury. His return right now is questionable.

For all of this week's speculation surrounding Ben Roethlisberger's future, the key question remains: Is there fire behind all of this smoke with the Pittsburgh Steelers?
After speaking with a Steelers source, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Friday's edition of NFL Network's "Around the League Live" that the organization will not consider an...
Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders suffered a foot injury in Pittsburgh's Week 11 game against the Lions. His return is questionable.Fantasy Spin:Sanders has had a couple of good games this season, but he's only cracked double-digits twice. He's a low-end, bye-week replacement type fantasy receiver.

Running back Jonathan Dwyer starting playing on the punt return team two weeks ago against the New England Patriots. You may not have noticed because the Patriots were only forced to punt twice in the entire game. Brian Moorman didn’t get so lucky. Even the winds conspired against him, punt after awful punt.
The fact that special teams coach Danny Smith put Dwyer...

The matchup today between the Detroit Lions and the Pittsburgh Steelers is truly a pivotal game for the home team. Standing at 3-6 and given where the rest of the division is, a win or a loss could have the team—or at least the fan base—either chasing playoff hopes or diving into the 2014 draft class to see who the Steelers would be fools not to take so they...
With a win Sunday, the Steelers find themselves very much alive in the AFC North race. It's not a cake walk by any means, but with a 4-6 record, the Steelers are only a few games back from the division leader Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bengals are clearly the front runners with a 7-4 record but look at the rest of the AFC North right now:
Bengals - 7-4
