Pittsburgh Steelers nose tackle Chris Hoke has decided to call it a career.
Hoke opted to embrace retirement as opposed to undergo neck surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation in order to play in a 12th NFL season.
The 35-year-old Hoke started six games last season before his neck injury ultimately pushed him to the sideline.
Hoke was an undrafted free agent out of Brigham Young in 2001 and spent his entire NFL career with the Steelers.
