How sad it must be to be a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. To watch quarterback Ben Roethlisberger throw for 400 yards and 4 touchdowns only to see the aging defense give the game away, shows that the Pittsburgh Steelers are a franchise in serious decline. The Steelers defense gave up 28 points to the New England Patriots in the 4th quarter o he game. It shows that the aging Steelers defense...
You can make a case that Ben should be on the losers list, but you have to believe he was a huge reason why the Steelers were in the game, at one point. Roethlisberger made a couple of very good touchdown passes. He finished the game with four tossing scores. Ben also finished the game with 400 passing yards. Big Ben also turned the football over three...

When Cody Wallace was forced into the game due to the injuries to Ramon Foster and Guy Whimper, it was certainly alarming—not simply because it meant the Pittsburgh Steelers were down two linemen, but also because we had never seen Wallace play before and did not know what he offered.
While he was not perfect—in particular, he was beat on one running play that...
The Pittsburgh Steelers got badly demolished by the Patriots 55-31 yesterday in Gillete Stadium. The Steelers have fallen to 2-6 on the year, their worst start in almost a decade. They didn't play well at all yesterday, and that's obviously going to be reflected in the report card.Offense Surprisingly, the Steelers offense wasn't too bad yesterday. They barely punted...
Following the Pittsburgh Steelers 55-31 embarrassing loss Sunday to the New England Patriots, head coach Mike Tomlin quickly recapped the injury situation coming out of the game.
"From an injury standpoint, Vince Williams sustained a concussion as did Ike Taylor," said Tomlin. "Those guys will be evaluated. Marcus Gilbert had a ankle injury."
All of the injuries...
Coach Mike Tomlin, in his post-game press conference after the latest debacle, was echoing some of the stuff he's said before when the Steelers lost--that he will be taking guys off the field if they don't buy into winning.
Ed Bouchette, reporting after the conference, asks the pertinent question on every Steeler fan's mind--isn't it too late for these kinds...

While there was uncertainty at the beginning of the 2013 season as to what type of team the Pittsburgh Steelers would field, predicting a 2-5 record after seven games seemed to be as unlikely as the Steelers going 19-0 and winning their seventh Super Bowl title.
What seemed improbable during the offseason is now a bitter realty as the Steelers travel to Foxborough...
Troy Polamalu is one of the best safeties in the NFL and makes more game-changing plays than most defensive backs. He’s exciting, instinctive, and a hard hitter. Remember this play he made against Jake Locker earlier in the season? That was beautiful. But, as we’ve shown in the past, he can get lost in pass […]
The Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots will face off against one another in a Week 9 match-up.
While things have not necessary gone the Steelers (2-5) they are not about to roll over to the Patriots (6-2) in this one.
Coverage of the game between the Steelers and Patriots will air on CBS beginning at 4:25 pm ET from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA.
After taking heat through much of the first half of the season, the Steelers’ offense provided plenty of points to win a game against the New England Patriots. This time, however, it was the defense that broke down in a big way, giving up 55 points.
Now, Sunday’s loss to the Patriots can’t be put 100% on the defense. The offense had its problems as well, especially in the...
Through eight games played in the 2013 season, the Steelers sit at 2-6. Two measly wins in half of a 16-game season. You'd think six losses were embarrassment enough, but it was how that sixth loss occurred that turned this Steelers year from a Frank Caliendo joke to a Mitch Hedberg joke. What I mean to say is this loss to the Patriots was a pretty huge joke.
55-31 New England...
Season 4, Episode 41 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I get right into recapping the Pittsburgh Steelers 55-31 loss Sunday to the New England Patriots.
We spend a lot of time talking about both sides of the football and go over the poor play by several individuals in the process. We try to pick out a few positives, but of course there aren't many.
Ben Roethlisberger and the 2-5 Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Gillette Stadium to take on Tom Brady and the 6-2 New England Patriots at 4:25 p.m. ET...
Stevan Ridley has done some things in the past to merit a timeout on the bench -- namely fumbling. Early in the third quarter of the New England Patriots' victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the third-year tailback fumbled again, but this time, according to coach Bill Belichick, it wasn't benchworthy. "Sometimes, turnovers are a result of real good defensive plays...

Predicting the Patriots matchup vs. the Steelers
Who would have thought that the Pittsburgh Steelers would enter Week 9 with a rather pitiful 2-5 record?
Should we be all that surprised? I think that it’s pretty evident that the Steelers are in the process of rebuilding both sides of the football and...
