And like every other week leading up to the showdown between the Ravens and the Steelers games, this one is no different. And some of the usual suspects are involved as they usually are. One of them being the Ravens OLB Terrell Suggs. He normally does the most talking for the Ravens at least when it comes to the Steelers. Here are some of the quotes from Terrell Suggs:
“They already declared war on us,” Suggs said. “We’re taking 53 men to the apocalypse and we ain’t bringing flowers.”
“This is football. I’m guaranteeing the NFL, the world will stop for this game, and everybody wants to see it. We will be ready. Like I said, there is the Super Bowl and then there is Ravens-Steelers. Everybody will be watching this game. This is definitely the most physical game of the year. And if a ref throws a flag for a personal foul or illegal hitting, I think he’s robbing the fans and he’s robbing both teams. Let us play football.”
“I’m looking right at you 86. I need you to play,” Suggs said. “Please put on that 86, that smile and all the things you do. We need all that for this this game.”
“We think their piss is going to be a little hot. They’re definitely going to have some ‘Let’s get after them’ to their game.”
The when Ward was told about Suggs’ comments here was his response:
When told about what Suggs said, Ward laughed.
“I thought I’d never hear that, but I’ll be out there,” Ward said. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
Then earlier yesterday Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb decided to throw his two cents in about who Pittsburgh’s best receiver is.
“Every time somebody asks me [a question], they’re always talking about Mike Wallace. But they have a guy No. 84 in Antonio Brown who is better than 17 [Wallace] in all aspects of the game,” Webb said. “He’s a great returner, a great wide receiver.”
Though Webb might be a little biased since he was the guy that Antonio Brown blew by last year in the playoffs to catch that deep ball from Roethlisberger on 3rd and 19 late in the game.
Mike Wallace declared not to be bothered by this, and he shouldn’t be, cause if Webb can’t cover Brown he certainly can’t cover Wallace:
“That guy doesn’t really matter to me, man,” Wallace said. “Who is that guy? I mean, I heard of him, but at the end of the day, he can’t check me, so it is what it is. That’s got to be somebody who really matters to motivate me; he really don’t.”
It’s only Thursday morning, which means we have 3 more days until game day, I’m sure there will be only more gems to come.
I’m convinced that nobody has more fun that Terrell Suggs. Not on the football field, and not in life in general.
Appearing on NFL Network Thursday, Sizzle was asked if he still “owns Ben Roethlisberger’s ass,” as he stated he did following the Ravens 35-7 win over Pittsburgh on September 11.
His reply was nothing short of classic:
“Men lie. Women lie. Numbers don’t …”...

Linebacker declares Ravens an 'enemy of the state' in PittsburghTerrell Suggs didn't wear an inflammatory T-shirt, as he is known to do before the Ravens' showdowns with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Never one to hide his thoughts, particularly when it comes to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore linebacker Terrell Suggs expounded Wednesday on the Ravens' upcoming rematch with their AFC North rivals.
We all know that most NFL players have some sort of chemical imbalance that sets them apart from the rest of us. In order to fly around a field and take a beating from 275-pound men, you have to have a uniquely functioning brain. Guys like Terrell Suggs, who told us on Thursday that nothing [...]

If ever there is a work stoppage in the NFL that causes a season to be cancelled, Terrell Suggs and Bart Scott need not worry. Vince McMahon will be calling. We all love football here in America, but to these guys it is more than just a game: it’s a theatric production. For Suggs, any [...]
